Trachyderma hispida

Observations:

  • Wadi Abd el Melik (Gilf Kebir), February 2009

    This large beetle was noted several times in the southern branch of Karkur Talh, both during the day and in the evening. A single individual was noted in Wadi Abd el melik in the Gilf Kebir.

    The species was conspiciously abundant in the lower Wadi Handal in October 2007, among remnant vegetation of the rains of 2005.
