Taking the Illizi road north west from Djanet, and leaving the road about 15 kms to the north towards the plateau edge, one enters a wonderful land of narrow mesas rising from golden sand, like giant teeth. These are the eroded remnants of the edge of the plateau that recedes ever eastwards, resulting in a dramatic landscape, that makes a great camping spot. |
