Aouenrhet

The site is situated about an hour's walk southeast from Jabbaren, across the main wadi. It is a lump of low sandstone rocks sticking out of the plain, offering some of the most unusual paintings on the Tassili, including the 'masked god', the 'white lady' and several difficult to interpret scenes from the roundhead period. While the by sheer numbers it is outshone by Sefar and Jabbaren, the topic and quality of the paintings here make it one of the Tassili highlights.
