First MFTK Edition 1940

The memoirs of WWI ace Hefty, containing accounts of events during the Great War, and on the fledging post-war aviation scene in Hungary. Like #63 the title was published by Franklin in a single volume in 1940, however not as part of the MFTK series. Apparently in parallel or very soon after, the title was also released as a part of the series in two volumes, in Classic IV. half cloth binding (the release date may have been one or two years later). Both editions appear to have the same pagination and table of contents, the only difference is the split into two volumes and the addition of the MFTK series title. The dust jacket is known. This title remains one of the scarcest in the entire series.
