Boerhavia coccinea
The species was noted in upper Karkur Talh and both lower and upper Wadi Handal following the rains of 2005. In Karkur Talh only a small single individual was noted, but it was relatively common in Wadi Handal, where the largest individual covered an area of several square metres. The species was noted again in 2006 in upper Karkur Talh, both in areas unaffected by the 2006 rains (remnant growth ?), and in areas where it was clearly fresh growth alongside other young plants. A single specimen was also noted in October 2006 in upper Wadi Handal, clearly remnant vegetation of the rains a year before.
