Cenroclisis species

Observations:

  • Wadi Wahesh (Jebel Uweinat), October 2007

While the conical holes of larvae have been observed a few times in the dust of shelter floors, we have observed only a single adult ant lion (Myrmeleontidae) on the branch of an Acacia raddiana at the mouth of the Wadi Wahesh during the late evening. Many thanks to Dr. Levente Ábrahám for the genus level identification.
