Gubányi was a Hungarian engineer and enterpreneur spending much of his life in the East. His first book on his stay in Manchuria is a fairly scarce title in the series. The first edition with roman serial volume numbers is known in the Picture Cover and Classic I. roman numerals version. The second edition, known in Picture Cover and Classic I. scaled binding versions, appears to be the identical inside aside the half title, with 88 illustrations dispersed among the text. It appears that this title was not re-issued following the War, no plain Classic I. nor half cloth Picture cover variants are known.
