#58
KERTÉSZ, Róbert
Feltámad a félhold
(The Awakening Crescent)
First Edition 1939
Second Edition 1939
A treatise by Kertész, a Hungarian journalist on the rapidly transforming Islamic nations of the Near-East, partially based on personal experiences. Apparently like #52, it appeared near-simultaneously in both single and two vulume versions. The single volume edition is known in the rare white full cloth (with only titles and globe on the cover) version, plus uniquely in a crimson half cloth version that has identical decoration to the white full cloth version, a binding type that is otherwise only known from the MUFK series. It is not known whether this version is a one-off misprint, or it was a regular binding used alongside the white full cloth variety. The two volume set exists in both Classic IV. full cloth and half cloth versions. The dust jacket of the single volume version is known, it needs to be verified that the two volume version had the same design.
