First MFTK Edition 1936

The third (and final) title of Stein to appear in the series, translated from the Engish original by Gyula Halász. This book offers previously unpublished details of the three major Central Asian expeditions of Stein. Like all other titles in the seven volume 1936 series, it appeared in a Classic IV. full cloth binding, no other version is known. The dust jacket is known, the cover matches the illustration on the frontspiece. The MFTK release is the second edition of the title, it already appeared in 1934 published as a single volume by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The two volume MFTK edition appears to be identical except for the series and volume titles, even the table of contents is done in a way that would permit both single and two volume binding, the second volume pagination starting from where the first volume ends. No single volume version is known however in the MFTK series.
