#26
Cholnoky, Jenő
Afrika
(Africa)
First Edition 1930
Cholnoky's two volume geographical description of the continent of Africa. This title is somewhat out of line, essentially being a geography textbook rather than a travelogue like all other titles that have appeared in the series (and most that have appeared later). The first edition was in both the Oval logo and Classic III. bindings, in 1936 a second edition was prepared that only differs from the first one in having Franklin as the publisher. A dust jacket was issued with all versions. According to some sources there was a second Franklin edition in 1936 (like #23 Bergman), however this is subject to verification, no such copies were ever seen.
