MUFK #14
OSSENDOWSKI, Ferdynand
A nap rabszolgái
(The Slaves of the Sun)
First Edition 1931
Ossendowski's ninth and last title, also signalling the end of the series coinciding with the fulll absorbtion of Lampel into Franklin. It is an account of a research expedition in West-Central Africa, translated by Révay József. It is known in five binding versions with no difference in the interiors, the Classic III and Cassic IV. with MUFK series titles, the plain crimson version, the crimson half cloth binding with gilt globe on the cover, and a rare Classic IV. half cloth with MFTK series titles but no series half title. The dust jacket is known, however it is uncertain if all versions had the same. Apparently the title remained in print unchanged until 1943, the likely date of the Classic IV. half cloth version with MFTK series title.
