Phragmites australis
Phragmites densely covers the shorelines of all permanent open bodies of water in the Libyan Desert. It is predominantly found in the oases depressions surrounding the permanent lakes, but several small clusters may also be found in Karkur Murr at the permanent springs of Ain Murr and Ain el Brins, at the latter intermingled with Imperata cylindrica.
