Outside the oases depressions, the species was only noted at two permanent water sources at Jebel Uweinat, near Ain Murr in Karkur Murr, and at Ain Duarme located in a small southern tributary of Karkur Ibrahim. In both locations, the presence of the species is probably due to introduction of date seeds by humans visiting the springs.
