WADDELL, L. Austine,
A rejtelmes Lhassza

(Lhasa and its Mysteries)

First Edition 1910
Second Edition 1910?
Third Edition 192?

The account of the 1903-1904 British military expedition to Tibet, re-worked by Dr. Amadé Schwalm. The first edition with series volume numbers appeared with the Classic I. and Picture Cover bindings, with the roman series volume number appearing in the half-title. The second edition carries 1910 in the title page just like the first one, and other than the half-title lacking the roman volume number, is identical in every other way. Despite the same date, this second edition likely dates to a few years later. The plain Classic I and the half-cloth Picture Cover versions are clearly a new post-war issue, however these too retain the 1910 date on the title page. Slight variations in the layout of text on some pages prove that these are both a separate edition and a new printing.
