Pergularia tomentosa

Observations:

  • Karkur Talh (Jebel Uweinat)
  • Hassanein Plateau (Jebel Uweinat)

Pergularia tomentosa is a perennial shrub that can survive in periods of extended drought. It was noted in several locations in both lower and upper reaches of Karkur Talh, however it is clearly more common in the upper rocky sections (a single example was seen in lower Karkur Talh). It is relatively abundant in the valleys of the Hassanein Plateau. The species was not noted in the western, granitic part of the mountain.
